Speaker1: And I just keep on pressing and I just keep on pressing and I just keep on pressing, and I just keep on pressing forward and forward and forward and forward.
Speaker2: Welcome back to another episode of the Pressing Forward podcast. On today's episode, we will be discussing the power of thought and having the faith of a mustard seed. Because anything that is great starts off small. And so if you have the time, maybe you're driving. Please don't. Please don't do this. When you have the time, search up a mustard seed and look at the size of a mustard seed. It's really small. Really small. Yet in that it has the capacity to grow into something larger. And so it's important to look at ourselves as a seed. We are seeds, and we must be efficient gardeners in tending to our seed, taking care of our seed. And part of that is. Being cognizant of the thoughts that we allow ourselves to entertain. What are the thoughts that you entertain on a daily? Is it positive things? Is it seeing yourself actualize your dreams? What is it? It's important that if you have a goal, if you have a vision. That you align your thoughts. With that vision. And in aligning your thoughts with that vision. You put yourself in position by your behaviors and your action to actualize that dream. Now, the same can be said in it. The reverse effect in that if you continue to. Think negative. To allow doubt. To eradicate that energy, that fire within you. Then you'll see that your life. Will never manifest your dreams and your goals. I believe it was Mike Tyson that said everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. And so knowing that life at times is going to punch you in the mouth, metaphorically, I hope nobody's out there punching you.
Speaker2: But knowing that life is going to punch, what is our response? What is our response? How are we going to respond in that circumstance? In such a way that we are able to reframe our thoughts? To favor us? Because two, two people can go through the same situation and get completely different. Things out of it. And part of that is due to your perspective and your frame of reference. How do you frame the things that have happened to you? How do you frame the things that have happened in the past? Is it things that you're shameful about? Is it things that. You're fearful about? Maybe it's past hurt. Past traumas. Your future awaits for you to let go of those things. And better yet, to give those worries, those fears, those anxieties, give it to God. And I don't know what your belief is or and so whatever that is for you. To anchor yourself in that. But for me, I'm going to give my worries to, to the Lord and let him direct me and let him direct my thoughts. Let him direct my habits. Right. Help me in, in, in. In taking control of my mind. And and on the things that. Will edify me. Right. And so another thing is on this journey of. Pressing towards our dreams. It's important not to despise the beginning phases. The phases where it seems like nobody's supporting you. The phases where it seems like.
Speaker2: Am I even on the right track? You start doubting. Why did I even start this thing? But know that anybody, anybody who has started something great has started it one with a thought and followed it with persistence. And so if you also want to. Make your dreams a reality, you must also have that same persistent, that same persistence When it seems like it's not going to work. What is it? Thomas Edison. Right? 10,000 times before he got to the light bulb. 10,000. And many of us try once and just give up. No no no no no no. Not you, not you. I want you to make a decision. And that decision starts with a thought. I want you to make that decision. That whatever it is that you want to accomplish. That you're going to go after it. And understand this. Circumstances and situations will come to test whether you truly believe in your vision. Now, having the understanding that it's just a test. You keep going. You keep going. And so my charge to listeners today. Is to take hold of your thoughts. Take hold of your thoughts. Think on the things that are positive. Think on the things that are loving. Think on the things that are noble. Think of all the things that could be go. That could go right for you. You know why spend your energy thinking on the things that go wrong. It takes the same amount of effort to think positively. And as always, stay blessed and continue pressing forward. Thank you.
